Creating Product Groups

Product groups let you show multiple products (e.g. same item in different colors) as a single unit with swatches.

Create a Group

1. In GROOPIE, click Create group.
2. Name – Choose a name that describes the group (e.g. “Classic Tee – Colors”).
3. Products – Search and add every product that belongs to this group. Each product should represent one variant (e.g. one color).
4. Swatch type – Choose Color, Image, or Button.
5. Save the group.

Rules

• A product can only be in one group. If you add it to another group, it will be removed from the first.
• Groups appear automatically on product and collection pages where those products are listed.

Sub-groups

You can create sub-groups for finer organization (e.g. “Standard colors” vs “Limited edition”). Use the same flow and assign products to the sub-group; the parent group can be used for navigation or filtering if your theme supports it.

Editing and Deleting

• Edit: Open the group in GROOPIE and change name, products, or swatch type. Changes may take up to 30 seconds to appear due to caching.
• Delete: Remove the group from GROOPIE. Products will no longer be shown as swatches but remain in your catalog.
